Our skin and scalp are naturally acidic with a pH between 4.5 and 5.9 therefore haircare products should ideally have a pH between 4 - 6. High pH levels can cause the hair cuticles to swell which in turn can cause hair friction and damage over time. For this reason, natural soap isn't suitable for haircare due to its high pH of 9-10. 

Our  solid shampoo bars are soap-free to provide the perfect PH to be gentle on your scalp and hair. 

Surfactants are responsible for the cleansing, producing rich lather and adding viscosity. We use three surfactants in our formulations:

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is a gentle, sulfate-free surfactant derived from coconut oil.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is derived from coconut and palm oils.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine is primarily composed of coconut oil and a synthetic compound called DMAPA. 

Behentrimonium Methosulfate is derived from natural rapeseed oil. It's a cationic (positively charged) ingredient that attracts to the negatively charged hair and skin, providing a smooth, soft feel. 

Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty acid that adds viscosity to the bar. And don't worry about its name, this ingredient is completely alcohol-free!  

PANTHENOL POWDER is PROVITAMIN B5 and used to lubricates the hair shaft, locking in moisture and making the hair easier to handle and comb.
 

Using a preservative is an important piece of our formulations to prevent the growth of yeast, bacteria, and mold.  

Glyceryl Caprylate is derived from glycerin and caprylic acid, often sourced from coconut oil.

We use a vast variety of carrier oils and butters in our products to provide different properties, suitable for different hair types. 

Powders and clays add color to the bar, as well as  provides cleansing properties and donates volume to the hair. 

We use both essential oils and fragrance oils in our bars. Our scents are always phthalate-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and free of artificial dyes.
